Week 4 of 2019 Legislative Session

Friends: Governor Hogan delivered another powerful speech on Wednesday, January 30th.  In his State of the State address, He quoted his inauguration speech from four years ago by stating his vow to “create an environment of trust and cooperation where the best ideas rise to the top based on their merit, regardless of which side of the aisle they come from.”  The Governor also spotlighted previous work of the General Assembly to improve Maryland.

Week 3 of 2019 Legislative Session

Friends: This week has flown by!  My colleagues and I have been inspired by Governor Hogan’s call for all General Assembly Members to work together to create better Laws for Maryland.  To act on this inspiration, the House Republican Caucus held a press conference on Friday, January 25th, to announce their four legislative initiatives for this 2019 Legislative Session.  Many of these initiatives have been supported by both parties in surrounding states. The following is a link to the press release: . Below I will summarize the initiatives and their benefits.

2019 Legislative Session Week Two

Friends: This week was eventful! The Governor's inauguration took place on Wednesday, January 16th.  Governor Larry Hogan is only the second Republican Governor to be re-elected in the state of Maryland. What an honor!  And I am thankful to be serving during this historic time.

Dear Friend: I feel honored and blessed to have the community’s support as I serve in the Maryland General Assembly a third year.  On Wednesday, January 9th the 2019 Legislative Session began.  The day flew by as I was greeted and immediately put to work by my colleagues and other Maryland representatives. We are excited to pass laws to benefit our communities and improve the overall state of Maryland. I am currently working on three bills to preface the 2019 Legislative Session.  Let’s dissect into the bills further!
